A Little About Me

Framed quote on desk with pens. Quote reads: 'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead.'

I began my career in 2014 at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts where I helped the in-house creative team win national design awards and created marketing materials that led to record-breaking ticket sales. Since then, I’ve diversified my professional background across many fields such as branding, digital strategy, UX/UI, marketing, and political consulting. I operate at the intersection of design, culture and tech to develop innovative solutions. As the previous Design Director for Impactual, a social impact consulting firm, this came into particular focus during my work on the 2020 initiative @PowerThePolls. I galvanized digital attention in ways that resonated with broad audiences (including celebrities and political figures) and the initiative ultimately recruited over 700,000 new poll workers for the 2020 election.

I’m a vocal advocate for thoughtful, empathy-driven design rooted in inclusivity and take pride in helping others inspire movements, share untold stories, and build equity. When I’m not consumed by pixels and grids, I can be found outside walking my dog/rabbit Indy, perusing local thrift shops, or in the kitchen cooking up a storm.

  • I’m located in Manchester, UK but I consistently work with clients based in the United States. Ever since the pandemic, I’ve acclimated to working across global time zones. Strong discipline and communication skills are some of my greatest strengths.

  • NOPE. I do not code, nor do I wish to. I outsource all website development and collaborate with the best people to get the job done.

  • I’m always keen to lend my design skills to a worthy cause. I’ve completed many pro bono projects. If it’s aligned with my values and schedule, I’m amenable to discuss opportunities.

  • Inclusivity. Diversity. Empathy. Mindfulness. These values are at the core of every project I complete. As a Korean American adopted woman, I’m passionate about uplifting atypical narratives. We’re all multidimensional beings with unique experiences and emotions. The world we design and habitat should reflect that.
